Pray

muahhahaa... wonder since when i became a little superstitious... especially when it come to work & family..hehehe

my colleagues told me abt this small altar which was located at my club's building... who ever goes there and offer incense and to pray with sincere, will find tat their work wil be smoother.... since i was not doing tat well tis month, i decided to give it a try... no harm right..muahaha.. feel so auntie... so i went along with my colleague... and guess wat...it worked!! shortly after that, my sales picked up!! it could be just coincidental... but its still very spooky... so we decided to pray again on the 2nd day, guess wat... work went smoothly again...hehehe... okie okie.. u might say if its so gd, everyone will be making a fortune already, but i guess somethimes its not tat bad to believe

Now i understand why ppl believe in their respective religion. Because when u have trouble, probs unsolve, they are the first u turn to for spiritual support.... usually u get advises from the hidden meanings...

Isnt it funny how ppl turn to their religion when something happens and hope tat everything will be fine after tat??

HDB Launches Sale Of Site At Boon Keng Road By Tender Under Design, Build And Sell Scheme (DBSS)

Watched today's news and found out that the piece of land in front of my place is finally going to be used for something... last yr around this time, somebody told me that the land will be used to build 2 blocks of hdb flats.. with carpark and maybe a park... it came true!!!

All thanks to the successfu pilot DBSS site at Tampines Ave 6, HDB will launch the sale of a site at Boon Keng Road for tender under the Design, Build and Sell Scheme (DBSS) on 16 Mar 2007 (Friday). This is the second site to be offered under the Scheme.

I guess i'll soon see long queues waiting just to view the showflats and to fight for a unit...hehehe... so excited... cant wait to view the showflats.. and use the park once its ready!! muahahaha....

Surely it wont be cheap as the new site is located in an established estate with abundant facilities, next to the Boon Keng MRT station, and just minutes away from the major expressways. Shopping belts such as the Suntec City Mall, Parco Bugis Junction and Marina Square are also nearby. With the Bendemeer Hawker Centre and Lavender Food Square located in the vicinity, food lovers will have a wide selection of ready meals.

Looks like our area's land prices will be going up... i shld say that my parents made a gd investment..... =)

First or Last...to go....~~

Once a upon a time, a man & a woman fell in love. They love each other so much that they did the most natural thing, they got married and started their family.

Another chapter of their life had begun...... the man, who used to be a party-animal without a proper job started to work and provide for the family. He began to take gd care of himself by working out regularly, keeping himself healthy. By doing so, he was giving her the vow he promised on the day of their wedding....

"I promise to love, comfort, honor and keep her for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health. And forsaking all others, be faithful only to her so long as we both shall live..."

On their 50th wedding anniversary, he told her he would want her to leave this world before he did. Simply because it hurts so much to see the one you love most leave this world without you. He didnt want her to be sad. He couldnt bear to leave her alone in tis world to take the pain of losing a loved one... If she were to go first, she will not know how hurtful it was for him... and its simply aso why he kept himself healthier than her...

I call his behaviour "Self-sacrifice" ... it was the best present she ever recieve from him...

If you have to choose...would you want to leave tis world first... or be the last to go.....

Tired~~

As the title suggest, tired is how i feel. Its not the physical tired where after a day of exercising, or out having fun kind of tired, where u will get adequate rest by just slping it off and regaining all tat energy... its more of the mentally tiredness that really needs to temporary break off from the busy reality... do serious thinking...spend some quality time by myself doing things i like..

things are moving very fast now in this era no matter u like it anot, life still moves on...every decision has to be made fast and any mistakes made, u still have to move on...

Ever since graduation, i started working.. without having a small break for myself, to listen to myself what i realli want to do... without letting my mental self to regain its balance from all the excitement from school...nv realli spend time to decide what i want to do..maybe i did think it through, but it just wasnt enough..hehe

well i guess tats part of how local education has shaped us.. "you must study hard, so next time you can work hard, earn more money and have a better life!!"

Well whats done cannot be undone, ill still move on and find that little time to give myself that little break i deserve...=P

yawn~ i'm so tired... wish i can slp in for the next 5 days without having to go to work!!!

Reading~~

I used to read alot more often back in school days... but ever since i started working, i read lesser, due to the fact that i became lazy, every little time i had was to pamper myself to nap, watch tv, eat and have fun...hehehe =p

Well, i'm glad i pick up reading again.. it seems that i can never finish reading.. just like i'll nv earn all the money there is in this world... i started to read when i'm waiting for the bus, when i'm on the bus... what a way to save time in the busy world!!

There are alot of books tats on my reading list... mostly recommended by my boss, or heard great reviews about... Oh, and one of my resolution this yr is to read at least 1 book per month...

The lastest book that i'm reading is titled "tuesdays with Morrie", by Mitch Albom. A book which is about an old man, a young man and life's greatest lesson all sumed up. It tells you about death, family, emotions, aging, money, love, marriage, culture, forgiveness & a meaningful life...

One of my colleague told me that she didnt like the book. Because it was very boring and sad.. But I find the book very close to heart.. perhaps because it was from an old man's experiences... i like it so much that i read it twice.. e second time i read it, i highlighted some of the words which i tot was very meaningful and could be used to apply in our daily lives...

I particularly like the following quoted from the book:

"So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they're busy doing things they think are important. This is because they're chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning. "

First Day~~

Yesterday I went for my 1st volunteering at KK Hospital. When i reach there. I was a little shock from what i saw...guess i wasnt totally prepared for what i saw.. the children there were all very young.. and due to the intense treatment they are recieving, most of them have not much hair left... i felt very sad for them, but the irony part is that, they were all very strong... they seemed much more mature than their actual age...

i spend my first day there playing with one of the kids...we did a coloring of the Power Puff Girls for the kid's brother as a bday present... we played some games ... .. the kid was very chirpy... but she look very tired..i guess its due to the medication and treaqtment... after wich i cleaned all the toys for hygiene purposetis is to minimise any infection spread or contracted... (why im not revealing the kids' gender or name is to protect their identity...)

Time pass very fast when i played with the kids... and i look forward to next wk till i see them again....=)
