Skinny Jeans

Shopping has been one of the never-get-bored hobbies of all women... it helps to relief stress and its also quite a good workout for your calves if u spend hrs shopping... it can even help u tone ur arms as u shove around with the others for the best bargains and of cuz from carry all your bags...
But the best thing about shopping is finding a good deal.. especially for someone like me who like to look ard a few places to compare..haha... now very popular with skinny jeans right... one pair would easily cost $30-ish.. depending where u get it.. if you were to buy it online, mayb can get around $28-$29.. So yesterday i went to Bugis Village to see if i can find any gd deals, since most of the shops there sells almost same stuff, tot the prices could be more competitive but its not the case.. its still selling at $29 cheapest... I still dun believe i cant find a even cheaper pair... so i cont to shop around.. finally, i found it!! at only $25, i got a pair of decent, comfy pair of skinny jeans...!! Cross the road behind Bugis Village and u will see this corner shop that only sells jeans.. ths shop is facing the old market... they have all sorts of design, cutting and colors of jeans, not sure abt how cheap it can go, but i saw a pair of jeans tat is somewat like ur Levi's straight cut look alike tat cost only $20.. .. u will sure find the pair u fancy.. I'll sure visit this shop again to buy my jeans..
Oh well, better start saving more money.. cuz apparently, i heard tat Taiwan has even variety of appraells waiting for me!! muahahahahahaha... tot abt shopping while saving..hahah

Last night went out for our batch gathering.. to this place call Amoersia, i tink i might have gotten the spelling wrong..muahah.. anyway its located near Arab Street.. its a place where u smoke the 'Sisah' aka fruit water tobaaco, my first try at tat.. very mild.. and the after taste of cherry is very nice... of cuz we did many classic, crazy and embrassing forfeits for some of our games which included:
(1) wearing all the watches we have gathered among ourselves on both hands, walk to the next table with both hands up and ask someone at the table "excuse me, may i know wat is the time??" giving the very lost and duh~ look ....muahaha...
(2) go to the middle of the shop and act as if u kena fits for 5 long secs....and yeah, i kena this one..muahahahaa
(3) Facing the main road from the window and shout out "I LOVE ARAB STREET!" to all the ppl below..muahaha u should have seen the puzzled looks of the ppl..haah
(4) one of the guys had to do le0pard crawl from our table to the counter and back...
(5) somebody had to do belly dancing for 5 secs.. and he was so sportign tat he even lift up his shirt and really shake...heheheh
(6) someone also did pole dancing...

(7) starjumps.. quack like a duck ard the shop...
(8) walk over to the first table and just sit down next to one of the cust and starts to giggle for 5 secs and walk back..hahaha super classic.. u shld have seen the stun looks fr the ppl at the same table...
(9) someone had to pretend to start a motor bike and did 2 corners with sound effects...
(10) someone had to walk backwards fr our table to the counter and den back ...
there are some more other forfeits we did...hahahah it was really fun..luffing our heads off..haha we really worked out abs and cheeks last night.... i look forward to our next gathering...muahahahah

WE ARE ALL WINNERS!!!!

After 3 wks of nail-biting, hair-pulling, heart-dropping, eye-popping and super tensed-up competition... the 9th Pesta Sukan Canoe Polo Championship 2007 has come to an end...

Although TPians didnt do as well as last yr.. each and every player put in their 101%... in my eyes we are all winners...each time we play, we gave our best and we still impress other teams no matter they like it anot.. looking at their eyes and mouth open so big makes it all worth while..so what lady luck was no on our side.. so wat officials' shoot bird eyes and bias referring kept coming.. we still survived!! wat does not kill us will make us stronger!! TPians are well known for our never-say die spirit... we will be back...

I would like to express my thanks to the following individuals, who have made it possible for TP Munchies to play:

(1) Michelle:
for arranging the first ladies gathering at the pool, to help find back the passion in us again,
for cracking ur brain on what tactics will work for us (i know its not easy...),
for co-ordinating all the admin work,
for sending all the smses to remind us of the attire,
for reminding us to come back and defend (
sorry for not listening at times..next yr must make sure everyone dig our ears clean clean so we can hear...),
for enduring all our nonsense, our mood swings, our absense at the pool,
for once again fighting side by side with me..
for not giving up till the last second..
for the tears u shed, which we know u put in your bestest best...

(2) Hazel:
for keeping whenever necessary,
for defending the zone against much more heavier players,
for the shots that u made that lead us to the win...

(3) Anqi:
for all the 'joy' u brought to the team with ur so-ever manly voice, making the rain came occasionally which made the weather a little nicer,
for making the effort to come down when u have to work and study on the competition days...
for making the attemp to distract our opponents with your voice once again,
you are truely a born-entertainer =) ...

(4) Eunice:
for sneaking out of ur home very early in the morning so that you could come play,
for cheonging all the first balls despite minimum training,
for chasing all the loose balls even when nobody was supporting you...

(5) Meizhen:
for arranging with Michelle for the girls gathering at the pool,
for shooting in all the crucial goals...
for making it down to competition ground despite a very hectic schedule,

(6) Xiao Jas:
for defending our zone despite those players were much more heavy and bigger size then you,
for coming down for the trainings,
for ur morale support despite ur infections,

(7) Lame Jas:
for defending our zone,
for coming down for the trainings,
for ur cheerings and support!!

(8) Pei Shan:
for joining the alumni team,
for the willingness to learn,
for the beautiful shots u made,
for your trust in us defenders when u are keeping,
for the joys, fun and laughters u brought to the team with ur jokes and 'tat' dance... (pls do it for us at sun's bbq..mauhaha u still owe us one!!)

(9) Shimin
for joining the alumni team,
for the willingness to learn,
for never stop trying,
for never letting ur mistake get the best of you..

(10) all the juniors and alumni guys:
for cheering us on,
for giving us water during our matches

(11) the sch
for providing the training ground and equipments

In short, i'm thankful that I could play with you all... its been a 3yr wait to be able to have enough ladies to form a team..comparing 6 yrs ago when i first started, there were limited resources..

Its not easy to play as a team, espeically with diff batches of players, diff playing styles, diff understanding, diff goals, diff mentality, diff personalities, especially in a ladies team as we are deemed more emotional.. but we can always make things work if we try to understand each other.. a dream team will take yrs of playing and hard work together before they are a dream team...

There will be times where u will feel like giving up, or u feel pressurized, or u on the verge of breaking down.. step back and slow down ur pace.. u will see that all is not as bad as it seems.. we have each other to count on,no matter how seldom we see each other..

If you feel tired and cant cont.. take a break.. re-charge urself.. take as long as you need.. in the process u could find ur passion again.. and when u are back.. u will give 101%.. u will be better den ever...

There are also alot of classic moments that you guys have created and I will always rem... like the infamous:
- "....NOT FAIR..." and "...i'm free but Lindy didnt pass to me..."
- My first ever incident report filling cuz somebody didnt eat breakfast and fainted due to low sugar.. still have to make sure she finish her Ribena...hahahah
- e shoutings of "she's going to shoot", "she got the ball", "she's going to do it" that irritate the shit out of ppl, causing some to be 'shouted' at during the irritation..
- ppl crying and trying to tok and luff all at the same time but nobody can understand a single word...

Lets not dwell on our mistakes but instead learn from our mistakes this yr, work on our weaknesses, enhance our strengths... Wat does not kill us will make us stronger!!! I look forward to fighting side by side with the MUNCHIES again!! And when we do, the others will fear cuz they are not playing on our side!!!
