*HOME*

In Singapore, what item is the most expensive to own yet essential?

No its not a car, because there is public transport...

Yes it’s a HOME!

It will basically wipe out your entire CPF and leave you with nothing.
You cant afford be out of a job cuz you will have to pay for the housing loan for the next 30 yrs!
Still got to fork out quite a substantial amt of cash for the down payment.

So you might ask, if so expensive, why still bother to have one?

My reasons are that:
You can have a new life with you significant one, fight for the same toilet, sleep on the same bed, clean the house together..
Start a new family with your little look-a-likes, chasing them around the house just to finish their food and screaming on top of their lungs to get them in bed…
Play host to your friends on festival celebrations…

Your next question will be why such a post on HOME?

Because

I signed by name on the dotted line to purchase one of Singapore’s most expensive HDB!! City View!! 2nd DBSS in Singapore!!

More details can be found on the developer's website: www.hoihup.com

So I hereby announced that I’m the proud co-owner of BLK 8 BOON KENG ROAD #14-144 (S) 330008!!

It’s the most ideal home ever!! Its near to both our parents. In fact its less that 100m from my parents place. Next time if I need to an egg to cook my maggie mee with, I can just shout over to my mum so she can throw one over…muahahahahaha

Another reason why its so ideal is that from my place there’s basically a mode of transport to any part of the island..

To be able to get the flat is better then winning TOTO!!

It will be completed yr end of 2011. But looking at rate that the works are being carried out, I suspect it could be earlier…

updates~~

WARNING! Lengthy post ahead… read when u have time!!

Been so busy lately, at last count, I have been working straight 12days without any rest, and this will cont for another 10days before I go on leave for a 5 days 4 nights (suppose to be 4days 3 nights trip) to Phuket, Thailand… call me mountain turtle, I’ve never been to Thailand, not even Bangkok although I heard abt the madness shopping spree and cheap bargains. This time round going to Phuket is purely just to switch off my mobile for the 5days.. no sms no phone calls… chill and relax, and rejuvenate…eat eat eat and shop shop shop… of cuz not forgetting to soak up some sun.. muahaha super lack of sun.. even my neighbour commented that I’m much fairer now..muahaha

Oh well, cant believe it Jetstar actually cancel our ticket booking due to ‘operation issue’. Because of ‘operation issue’ I have to re-book my tickets and pay extra for 1day’s flight and accommodation. I believe this is not the first time Jetstar has cancel bookings due ‘operation issue’. They ought to compensate us, especially they did not even offer alternatives flights for us. The only thing they did was to inform us 2wks before, while the fact that I book the tickets so advance. If they can do this 2 weeks before, chances are that they can just claim ‘operation issue’ one day before the actual flight.

Because of ‘operational issue’, the other airlines do not have tickets on the days I want and I have to extend my trip, I’m fine to extend 1 day, its the hassle to rebook the tickets, extend the accommodation and the hassle to apply for one more day leave which might not be approved!!

If Jetstar have frequent ‘operation issue’, next time I would rather pay a little bit more for my tickets with other airline, to avoid the last min hassle!!

Met up with the gers for dinner @ Shokudo Japanese Food Bazzar, they are located at Raffles City Shopping Centre, #B1-44E. They serve rather yummy Japanese food in Marche way. Each diner will be given a card where the counter staff will swipe the amt in and at the end of ur meal u just pay… food wise still not too bad.. 7 of us ate abt $144 worth of food…

We had Japanese thin crust pizza in Hokkaido Curry flavor, but I prefer the Wasabi prawn with bacon flavor for the pizza.

Also had Japanese Yong Tau Foo, very nice and healthy, soup is very tasty.

Then there is this Unagi Omelets very nice, the egg is not over cooked, still got abit watery, very soft.. and the Unagi sweetness is just nice…yum yum…

Also ate the super huge Japanese Burger… we ate the grilled kebabs as well, prawn with bacon, asparagus wrap with bacon, beef on the stick… also eat the bento with chicken and beef…the usual rosti…of cuz no forgetting sashimi, its quite fresh, the makis are also not bad…

The highlight of the night was probably when all of us squeeze into the neo-print machine and started posing… muahaha that was fun.. the restaurant really brings out the Japanese ‘feel’. Overall if you are going as a big group, its more worth it, as the cost is shared and split up and u get to taste more food and the more the merrier!!
