Final 2 days!!!

we still have not started packing our luggages.... hahah so far only clear out the kitchen and household items... we aim to finish packing today so that we have tmrw free for Dar's last review session with Dr Hause in the morning and then pop over for graduation photos with his class. 

today will be filled with ppl coming over to pick up the reserved items, us packing our luggages and final farewell dinner with his class.... 

its finally here.... we are counting down to board the plane home... theres so many ppl and things waiting for us..... cant wait.. =)))))

Car Sold!!!

Its been about 2 weeks since we posted flyers around our neighborhood and also on craiglist. There were several interested buyers but the deal did not go through.. Dar was ready to let go the car to one korean who offered pretty low at USD$1500, citing that the car was old, there are some rust blah blah blah.... and that guy even said will take the car this week if no one will take the car... Called him yesterday and he came up with some crap reason that he's pretty tight with his money and can only offer USD$1000 for our car... Although our car is old, its still in good condition... we wished him luck in finding a better car at a even lower price and re-posted our car for sale on craiglist last night and immediately there were several interested buyers.

Dar managed to meet up with a 2 of them and the last buyer confirm the deal and they went straight to SOS to settle the tittle deed. and now the pressure of selling off the car is off and he can concentrate on his final homework and exam =))

Now we just need to rent a car for the last week and drop the car off at the airport on our flight day =))

am also contacting the various ppl to pick up their reserved items and everything is going well...

cleaning and clearing of the remaining items are also on track.

We even have enough food to last us till the last few days so we dun need to do any more grocery shopping... 

Ahhh another 8 more days till we board the plane... =))

Carpal Tunnel Surgery

Dar went for his carpal tunnel surgery this morning. whole process from check-in to recovery took about 3hrs. 

Right after he woke up, he felt the tingling sensation on his index finger was all almost gone.... which is good... because he was sedated, he came home and slept it off... by dinner time he's super energetic... hhaaa

at least now one thing off our mind =))

Final 2 weeks

Its our final 2 weeks of stay in US. Kinda wish time could pass faster so that we could board the plane home, but at the same time i'll miss our lives here.

Officially stop baby-sitting Grace last friday and today, our place seems so much quieter without her screaming and her crawling all over the living room, her saliva drooling all over the floor, her crying when she refuse to flip over her stomach....muahahaha miss her already...

Last 2 weeks le, have to start throwing away things that we do not need, clear away all the kitchen items that we do not need, start to contact buyers to come collect their reserved household items, need to send some winter clothings for dry cleaning before we vacuumed-pack them, need to wash last round of our clothes before packing them in the luggage, need to clean the house before we hand over, need to collect all Dar's medical reports before we head home, need to book my complimentary pedicure or else it will go to waste, farewells with friends and any other things that we might forget....

counting down to 12 more days till we board the plane home...  

Its the final stretch of countdown....

20 more days and we will board our flight back to SG!!!!

20 more days till we feel the warmth of the sunny island...

20 more days till i eat my curry rice, popiah, rojak and all the food i have been craving... 

20 more days till i see my families and frens again...

20 more days till i face reality again...

20 more days till i end my almost 2yrs vacation...=))))

Coming week will be my last week bay-sitting Grace. I'm already missing her... seen her grow so much through the last 7 months is truly an amazing journey and personal accomplishment... now she can crawl and is even attempting to stand and walk!!! and she can take her own afternoon nap by herself most of the time... she is teething and we can see her lower 2 teeth growing, we think her upper ones are growing too... she can sit on her own and eat solid food... hold her own milk bottle... luff play and even baby talk.... its fast how much a newborn grows to a baby to a toddler and to a young kid... if we miss their growing journey, we will never get it back even if we have 2nd or 3rd child...its never the same... 

selling of the furniture are going well.. realise that i typed the wrong address on our flyer for selling the furniture... a missing .com and ppl cannot view our selling blogspot.com page. but lucky my mobile no is correct, realli interested buyer could still call us and check. Already there is someone coming to take a look at the remaining items later... =))

As for our car, there were a few interested parties, but they somehow didnt confirm the purchase. So hopefully the flyers we did up yesterday will garner more calls and interest.... =))

 

we have enough baggage space since we shipped most of the bigger items back to SG and Tony is helping us with one luggage since he is visiting SG end of May... trying to curb my spending...hehehe not earning money but still spending money....hehehehe

argh.... cant wait to get on the flight.....

till then, i can only be patient... =))))

13yrs ago, we bid our final goodbyes to our beloved grandma, who took care  of me throughout my childhood years. Who dotes on me very much, cooking great food and spoiling me to the max. 

its a pity that she was not around when i got married to share one of the highlights of my life, but i'm sure she is happy for me and is at peace in heavens...

i miss her...

final 4 weeks

ohh yeah~~~ counting down to the last 4 weeks of our stay.... the shipping guys came and picked up our bigger items and will ship it off on monday to SG.

we also started posting online things to sell off and response has been pretty good, so i dont foresee that we will have lots of items left by the last week.

selling off the car has been smooth too, couple of interested buyers, just waiting for confirmation from any of them. 

at first it seemed that we have alot of things to sell and throw, but we realized that our spare room was filled with most of our frens' items...hahahah its like a storage and our items took up perhaps only 1/4 of the room...muahahaa... 

looking at my closet, i realized i only have a few pieces of clothings to pack, most of them will be thrown away as they are pretty worn out, that gives me more shopping reason coming 16th...hehehehhee 

final 4 weeks... cant wait... curry rice here i come!!!!!
