Phuket: 27-31 MAR 2008

Oh yeah, back to reality.

After 5days of fun in Phuket, with the glorious sun, clear-green sea, slow-paced tempo, no sms, no phone calls, beautiful sceneries, passion locals super fresh seafood... i almost didnt want to come back...muahaha...

As they say, picture paints a thousands words... i'm going to let the photos do all the talking and save me from typing thousands and thousands of words!

27 Mar 08: Woke up @ 4am so that we ca check in by 530am at the airport. tks to dar's sis who woke up early to drive us to the airport. And tks to auntie, i got hot and piping fried bee hoon with sotong balls for breakfast!

checked-in!
lazing at the witing lounge for our turn to board

mauahaha...look at the difference in our bags! no no no, the big one is dar's. the small one is mine!! mauahhaha

i'm on cloud 9... visually~

us posing at our resort lobby @ Club Bamboo Boutique Resort

ur room view from the main door

~living room

view from the lobby over-looking the swimming pool, which is mostly covered by the trees =)

the slope that we got to walk up to the resort everyday

the views fr the top of the resort...

us at the top of the resort with e scenery as background

he just likes to rub my tummy =) no other meaning....

we took a cab to this hill just to enjoy the peace and quiet on the hill. The air is especially fresh. its so peaceful. somethignyou will not get in SG.

look at the views.. there isnt many tall buildings around, so no blockage of the good view!!
i like....

we wanted to visit the local temple, so we walked to one...
unfortunately, the temple was close by the time we reached @ ab 4.30pm.
nevertheless, we still took picture standing infront =)

the sunset view... again, something you do not get with the tall buildings in SG.

sunset view fr the plane on our way home!

We spent 1 lazy day at the beach, paid 200 baht for 2 deck chairs that comes with super huge umbrella as shades.

Had my virgin try at playing jet ski too...heeh too bad we didnt have any photos for that cuz we didnt want the camera to drown... but we do have evidences that we had fun in the sun...

while waiting for our hotel shuttle bus to grab dinner, i tried to fake a moustache..
1st attempt, not very convincing though..
2nd attempt looks more real!
muahahaa =P

see, he's really burnt..
for someone who does not like to sun tann,
i appreciate that he accompany for the day to soak up the sun!
muaaccks muaacks :x

we have been kissed by the sun!
our skin glows!

When you are in Phuket, besides the sun, scenery and shopping, the next big thing to do is eat!
We tried the local food and also the fast food...muahahhaha

1st lunch: Local Pineapple rice + Tom yam Soup + Thai Spring Rolls

1st dinner cum supper:
After the Simon Carabet show aka thailand beautiful ah guas show,
most of the stalls have closed so we chose McDonalds!
We had 2-piece chicken and 10-piece nuggest meal, these you dont get in SG.
Look at the fries! the one on the left is the super up-sized one.. the right one is their regular size, which is equivalent to our up-szied large fries!

oh yeah, something you dont see in SG. Ronald McDonald saying "Sawaadeekap"

breakast is provided by the resort, so we usually have the usual American breakfast...
see the toast have cute markings on them.. i tink to cheer you up if u are feeling down!!

2nd day lunch:
fast food again, but this time round we had KFC.
Actually wanted to eat at their roadside market, but they are not open yet,
the stalls are still preparing.
Strangely, they operate only from the late afternoon till late.

again again, KFC at Phuket still serves original and crispy chicken,
but they served you with plastic plates and metal steel knives and forks
and they serve you drinks in their KFC glasses!
and if you finish ur soft drinks, they have ice-water at their side stations
that you can refill with, so thoughtful!
imagine if they do this in SG, they will have to close down soon.
all the students will just buy 1 glass of Pepsi and they refill it with water and stay on to study!!
muahahha...

btw, the KFC glasses are cleaned and showed-cased in SG!
make ur guesses where it can be seen!

Came to this stetch of road where by there are alot of seafood stalls, all in al-fresco settings...
too many stalls to decide from, in the end we chose Red Boat.

for our 2nd day dinner:
we had super fresh steam fish, tom yum soup and charcoal grilled sotong
and fresh coconut juices..
simply delicious...yum yum~

3rd day was spent on the beach and we had BK for lunch by the beach.. muahahaha but 3rd day dinner was @ his shop selling local delights

3rd day dinner:
Glass noodles with meat and vegfies + fried rice + prawns with cashew nuts + bbq sotong

4th day lunch:
we had Japanese Food at this shopping mall famously know as Jungceylon.
e Japanese restaurant is know as Fuji Japanese House or something likdat... the food is super fresh, waiting time for all the dishes are like only 5 mins.. and it only cost a total of abt 30 Sing dollars! something yu dont get in SG.
we had prawn tempura bento set + chawanushi + miso soup + grilled golden mushrooms with bacon + fried pork chop + 5 kinds of sashimi
yum yum!!

"why am i waiting?? where are my prawns??"

aiyah..dont take me when i'm eating...so unglam~

last day dinner we went back to red boat again..hehehe we had seafood spread!
we had bbq rock lobster aka crayfish + super huge and suculent tiger prawns + super fresh steam fish + coconut juices

Hours before our flight back, we ordered room service and have our lunch while watching movies in the room...
we ordered:chicken cordon bleu + chicken with cashew nuts + steam rice

We caught the Simon Carabet show which is very famous in Phuket, and nobody leave Phuket without watching.

Being a woman is really tough but been a she-man with beautiful enhanced face features, big boobs, slim waist, long legs, flawless skin, but with still man-voice is even harder, if you know wat i mean. They are socially been dispised, but i admire their courage for being true to themselves and still live their lives to the fullest!

posing before the show

The queen of the queens!
'she' has the biggest pair of boobs, nicest overall features and legs...
i wonder did shem surgically remove the balls and banana?? hmmmm

the dream girls, i swear the leading singer looks like Beyonce

Tina Turner

Teresa Deng, lip-sync of cuz...

she is so gorgeous that i wanna go up to 'her'
and request for an inspection if she's really a real woman or man!

the misfits!
they brought lots of fun and laughters during the show.
the geisha was so cute.. her tricks power tricks were they she can wriggle her tongue in and out super fast, just like a snake while she dance to a traditional japanese song!

the other pair of misfits, dance to one of the China dolls song.
the fat one even rubbed her man-boobs onto one of the male audience..not once but twice!!
poor guy... we didnt managed to take a pic cuz it happen so fast and it was so funny..muahhaha

after the show you could pose with them, but of cuz got to pay...
all of them are so sexy that you cant imagine them as guys... come to think if i have the money, i can be even prettier then them, but will i want to under go all the pain they went thru?? nah, ill pass.

did some shoppings too, but because the main purpose of the trip is to relax and get away fr the busy life in SG, didnt really buy much.

Bought:
5x pairs of slippers, each cost less then $2.50 sing dollars!
1x Gucci wallet for sis
1x Billabong board short for bro
1x Thailand Whiskey for daddy
1x silver bling bling silver high heels for mummy
2x Tiffany rings
1x Thai Style Sling bags

and of cuz i tried their traditional thai massage... dont reali like it.. still prefer spa...but it was fun experience..

Given the chance again, ill come back to Phuket, just to get away fr the busy life in SG......

Got to get ready for work again... looking forward to my next trip.
Hopefully to Taiwan!!!

*HOME*

In Singapore, what item is the most expensive to own yet essential?

No its not a car, because there is public transport...

Yes it’s a HOME!

It will basically wipe out your entire CPF and leave you with nothing.
You cant afford be out of a job cuz you will have to pay for the housing loan for the next 30 yrs!
Still got to fork out quite a substantial amt of cash for the down payment.

So you might ask, if so expensive, why still bother to have one?

My reasons are that:
You can have a new life with you significant one, fight for the same toilet, sleep on the same bed, clean the house together..
Start a new family with your little look-a-likes, chasing them around the house just to finish their food and screaming on top of their lungs to get them in bed…
Play host to your friends on festival celebrations…

Your next question will be why such a post on HOME?

Because

I signed by name on the dotted line to purchase one of Singapore’s most expensive HDB!! City View!! 2nd DBSS in Singapore!!

More details can be found on the developer's website: www.hoihup.com

So I hereby announced that I’m the proud co-owner of BLK 8 BOON KENG ROAD #14-144 (S) 330008!!

It’s the most ideal home ever!! Its near to both our parents. In fact its less that 100m from my parents place. Next time if I need to an egg to cook my maggie mee with, I can just shout over to my mum so she can throw one over…muahahahahaha

Another reason why its so ideal is that from my place there’s basically a mode of transport to any part of the island..

To be able to get the flat is better then winning TOTO!!

It will be completed yr end of 2011. But looking at rate that the works are being carried out, I suspect it could be earlier…

updates~~

WARNING! Lengthy post ahead… read when u have time!!

Been so busy lately, at last count, I have been working straight 12days without any rest, and this will cont for another 10days before I go on leave for a 5 days 4 nights (suppose to be 4days 3 nights trip) to Phuket, Thailand… call me mountain turtle, I’ve never been to Thailand, not even Bangkok although I heard abt the madness shopping spree and cheap bargains. This time round going to Phuket is purely just to switch off my mobile for the 5days.. no sms no phone calls… chill and relax, and rejuvenate…eat eat eat and shop shop shop… of cuz not forgetting to soak up some sun.. muahaha super lack of sun.. even my neighbour commented that I’m much fairer now..muahaha

Oh well, cant believe it Jetstar actually cancel our ticket booking due to ‘operation issue’. Because of ‘operation issue’ I have to re-book my tickets and pay extra for 1day’s flight and accommodation. I believe this is not the first time Jetstar has cancel bookings due ‘operation issue’. They ought to compensate us, especially they did not even offer alternatives flights for us. The only thing they did was to inform us 2wks before, while the fact that I book the tickets so advance. If they can do this 2 weeks before, chances are that they can just claim ‘operation issue’ one day before the actual flight.

Because of ‘operational issue’, the other airlines do not have tickets on the days I want and I have to extend my trip, I’m fine to extend 1 day, its the hassle to rebook the tickets, extend the accommodation and the hassle to apply for one more day leave which might not be approved!!

If Jetstar have frequent ‘operation issue’, next time I would rather pay a little bit more for my tickets with other airline, to avoid the last min hassle!!

Met up with the gers for dinner @ Shokudo Japanese Food Bazzar, they are located at Raffles City Shopping Centre, #B1-44E. They serve rather yummy Japanese food in Marche way. Each diner will be given a card where the counter staff will swipe the amt in and at the end of ur meal u just pay… food wise still not too bad.. 7 of us ate abt $144 worth of food…

We had Japanese thin crust pizza in Hokkaido Curry flavor, but I prefer the Wasabi prawn with bacon flavor for the pizza.

Also had Japanese Yong Tau Foo, very nice and healthy, soup is very tasty.

Then there is this Unagi Omelets very nice, the egg is not over cooked, still got abit watery, very soft.. and the Unagi sweetness is just nice…yum yum…

Also ate the super huge Japanese Burger… we ate the grilled kebabs as well, prawn with bacon, asparagus wrap with bacon, beef on the stick… also eat the bento with chicken and beef…the usual rosti…of cuz no forgetting sashimi, its quite fresh, the makis are also not bad…

The highlight of the night was probably when all of us squeeze into the neo-print machine and started posing… muahaha that was fun.. the restaurant really brings out the Japanese ‘feel’. Overall if you are going as a big group, its more worth it, as the cost is shared and split up and u get to taste more food and the more the merrier!!

R.I.P

Death for some might be the end of their sufferings, but for some it might be a new beginning.
This is so, i believe for PY.
She had departed us on 11/02/2008. She lost her battle with cancer. Large intestine cancer. When she found out in Dec 2006, its already in her last stage. I later found out that instead of keeping in to herself, she lived life to the fullest till the last day. She left peacefully without any struggle or pain. This is what all we hope for her.
PY is 23 this yr and she is a great volleyball player in her sec sch life. Despite all the hard trainings and 'terkan' session by us the seniors, i dun ever seen her lose her temper, instead she is always positive and encouraging to her team mates. I guess this spirit in her will always live on. Her smile brightens her team mates.
She will be missed and remembered by her family, her friends, her seniors, her elders....
She starts her new begining in the arms of the lord....

The Begining~~

18 days into 2008~

All has been moving alot great...couldnt have ask for more~~

Found a way to save money instead of wasting money to buy vcds or dvds fpr korean dramas- watch it online..~~

Found this website by chance, mysoju.com you can find most of the latest korean, japan dramas and movies... i fininsh watching The 1st Shop Coffee Prince which is now showing on channel U. its by Yoon Eun Hye, the leading actress/actor...After listening to them speak in Korean, hearing them speak in Mandarin sounds really funny...muahaha..

I like the 2nd male lead more..Lee Sun Gyun ,very cool looking guy but is full of passion for his music and the love of his life.. along the way he got shaken by the female lead... oh well there is always temptations around right.. he manages to come back to his sense and eventually married his all time favorite lover... somehow this character makes me feel so familar....hehehe...

Oh yeah.. last year this time i made pineapple tarts for Chinese New Year.. Will i be making them this yr??
