Mr Ong and i actually have plans to cook chilli crab with the fried mantuos for our v-day dinner... but because he broke his wrist during the last ski trip, we scrap the idea as its best he avoid seafood till the orthopedics give the green light.. so i whipped up something simple and good for him. stir-fry fish with lots of ginger, garlic and scallion... fish will help him heal faster... =))

i only gave him a hand-written card with my heartfelt words =)) and a simple home-cooked meal and lots of kisses and hugs =)))
but he gave me a total surprise: he booked a 5D4N trip for us to Mexico!!!
its a resort in Cancun, a honeymoon suite with ocean view... ahhhh and the most touching part is that he planned and booked for this trip last Aug (of cuz this was planned way before we found out we were having Ashton =)))...
the gift is also for our 2nd yr anniversary (wich is on the same month =)) and both our birthdays =))))))) i appreciate the effort and thoughtfulness. it will also be our last trip before we head back to SG and get busy with the reno for our flat, furniture shopping, doc finding, booking of hospital, ob reviews and of cuz the preparation for the arrival of Ashton.
BUT, due to the fact that i'll be heading into my 3rd trimester and he broke his wrist, we decided that its best if we cancel the trip. yes i know, so wasted right, but its for a peace of mind and safety.
Although we could only get back half the paid sum, (cuz we got to still pay full-price for the air-tickets and a small fee to cancel the rooms), we still went ahead with the cancellation. this is for a peace of mind. What happens if accident happens again to his wrist and we could not get medical attention immediately, its still Mexico you know.
Plus the fact that my tummy will be big and i will not be able to do water sports, soak in the jacuzzi tub with Mr Ong and some other activities, i'm not sure if we will enjoy ourselves fully... i rather take back whatever remaining monies we could (salvage) and then have a peace of mind and enjoy ourselves with SG food when we go back.
There will be plenty of chances for us in the near future to go travelling again. I also want to bring Ashton along for our trip and enjoy ourselves as a family... hmmm taiwan will be a good choice for us.. food is suitable, ppl are wonderful, scenery is beautiful. perhaps we could have some studio pics taken there =)) so cool =))
Yep, overall, my valentine's day is simple, heart-warming and i love it!!
to know that Mr Ong loves and pampers in all ways possible makes me the luckiest woman =)) His thoughtfulness, effort, patience and generosity are qualities that i love, appreciate and continue to learn from....
A valentine's day with Mr Ong and Ashton is more than i can ask and am grateful for =))))
