Ikea has always been one of my fav hangouts... as it has nice, reasonable-priced, durable & stylish items, not forgeting its restaurant serves very yummy food!! muaahahaha.. As they are now having their annual clearance sale before their coming yr items are launched, alot of things are going on sales... i would not have miss it!! I'm not shopping for furniture although there are some pretty good discounts going on... i bought a few boxes pretty boxes and some brown boxes to store my barangs barangs..hahaha... and can u believe it.. they actually sell 10-cent magazine holder..!! what can u buy with 10-cent now in sg?? even tissue also at least 30-cents lar..ahahha...
Of cuz not forgetting to pay a visit to the restaurant.. usually if i go with uncle dar dar den we usually eat quite a few dishes lar..hahahahah since i'm alone so i only had their Swedish meatballs..not too bad.. quite nice with the cranberry jam...
Upon paying for my stuff, i realise that Ikea is doing their part to save the earth, so they dun give out plastic bags for ur purchases.. u got to pay them if u need one.. which is very gd.. cuz most of the items, u dun really need plastic bags... u can either hand carry, or if u frequent Ikea alot, u can get their nylon shopping bag.. lucky the things i bought hand-carry can liao..muahahahah
Oh yeah!! tml im going to the ZOO!! with mich and the team.. mich's coy giving away tickets as part of their annual carnival...hahah.. the whole team going for team bonding!! its been at least 10 yrs since my last visit to the zoo.. so looking forward to tml....muahahaha

very auntie wor~~~
mauhaha... went to tampines today with mummy... Metro @ Tampines is closing down so they are having madness discounts.. most items are having 50%+20% discount till next week!!!
Guess wat i bought? 11 sets of bras with matching panites!!!! very colorful combi! i have pink, yellow, orange, red, green, blue..with buttons, ribbons, laces, see thru material..etc... in total i saved $224.90 fr the sale!!! well.. its true tat theres sales every now and then, but Metro Closing down wor.. how often do u get such a mega store closing down?? mummy bought a few sets as well.. bought for sista a few cute sets..some shirts for daddy.. some board shorts for bro....mauhahahaa... had a gd buy so happy..

BLOOD SUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!
today i went to chinatown with mummy... main objective was to get back the money i felt was cheated fr my mummy... she was dragged to do eyebrow color embroidery @ $60... since it has been more then 20yrs since she did her eyebrow tatoo and the color is fading plus its only $60, mummy agreed to do it... but the moment she lay down, the china woman started to upsell to another kind of service... wich cost $488!! she did the sample on one of mummy's eyebrow, wich bleed quite a bit... den ask if my mum like it if not she can wash it away.. my mum say too expensive dun want, then she lower to price to $300... when mummy insist dun want, the china woman insist that have to washed it off and re-do.. which is quite painful.. wich resulted in my mum feeling pressure and tramatized to do the washing off.. so she decide to just cont to finish off the other eyebrow.. the workman ship wasnt tat fantastic as well... she den ask my mum to follow her up to another of their small rooms so tat they can washed off part of her old tatoo cuz its extra after the eyebrow is re-shaped... tat cost another $80.. my mum felt even more cheatedcuz she tot the $300 all included...end up she paid $380 in stead of the $60 tat she was supposed to pay.. and mummy's fren only want to trim her eyebrows end up did the color embroidery plus shaping and washing @ $120... wat kind of business are they running?? they target at naive aunties..upsell, confuse them, and cheat their money.... We were there arguing for nearly close to an hr.. with some aunties listening to us..end up there was another auntie who aso commented that her sister was cheated as well...another lady who was half way doing her eyebrow was quite worried after she heard the argument, tat she even asked me to see if her eyebrow okie anot..aahahah in the end they got no choice, so they offered to touch up the color and refund $240 on the next trip mummy goes down in a month's time.. i got the china woman to write down the refund and the touched-up service they offer on the reciept and get them to sign off.. they cant do it today, cuz the skin around the eyebrow is still quite tender and raw... dun want mummy to go thru another round of pain... well, another lesson learnt... dun be naive and listen to those china women when they pitched their sales... if u dun want just be firm.. they can be quite unethical.... oh yeah they operate at People's Park Complex, level 1, under the escalator... dun even have a proper shop... just a small space, two chairs for customers. 1 tv and its a 'shop'.. the shop is call 'Perfect Beauty'

movie..shop shop..carefree day~~
I've always enjoy movies with loved ones and frens... of cuz there are occassions i go to the movies alone...muahahha.. so armed with a popcorn combo and sprite, i marched into the cinema today to catch the first day preview of Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix .
I expected the cinema to be filled with lots of kids cuz that was wat happen during the last few times i watch the series.. but instead, i saw lots of couples and alot of 'singles' who came to catch the show alone...could be cuz its still a school day and the kids are still at sch..
The guy seated on my left came alone, he was still reading the book in the dark, guess he was trying to refresh his memories from the book and relate it to the show.the studious type... the guys seated right to me also came alone.. and he is late!! even 'fought' with me for arm space on the arm rest.. so un-gentleman...(so dun say i'm lucky to seat in btw 2 guys...duh~) the guy who sat next next of me also came alone.. the uncle who sat next next next to me also came alone... the auntie who sat next next next next of me also came alone...hahahah

The show as usual cant compare to the book.. though the visual effects are great as usual... i like
the new character, Luna Lovegood...she's cute but at the same time very weird & crazy..ppl sees her as a lunatic.. always saying weird stuff and asking if anybody saw her missing items.. but she's a very talented wizard and a very loyal fren who fought side by side with harry potter... she acted her part very well, better den others...despite Luna's dottiness, she can be very perceptive about human nature...ahahhaaoh yeah another character i like is Professor Snape..haha this time rounds his dark humor keep me luffing all the way.... very professional actor...
Overall the show is nothing compared to the book.. lots of details missing.. at least once u start reading the book, u will follow thru cuz u want to find out wat happens next, but not so when u watch the movie... still better to read the books..ahaha
After the movie, i went for a walk down orchard road..window-shopped..hahah very diff feeling walking down the streets on a wkday not working, vs a working wkday.. how to say lei.. very relax.. not bothered by phone calls.. can take my own time to walk around.. but after 30 mins, i got tired and bored liao..ahha myabe cuz nothing to shop for ba.. although there are some changes.. didnt really excite me much.. and when i walked into the shops to see clothes.. although its in the afternoon, u will expect not too many ppl.. but u see alot of those women picking out clothes from the 'on-sale' rack.. all grab like no need money.. i stayed less that 3 mins in each store.. oh gosh... as long as there is sale... no matter wat time of the day.. sure got women shop one.. women are like born to shop.. dey can walk all day with their heels on and shop till they drop... its always easy to earn women's money...ahahaha
Saw a Drew Barrymore magazine cover... she lost some weight and is looking very beautiful these days... one of the actress i like... phew weeeet~~
Oh yeah, found a F.O.S aka Factory Outlet Store outlet at Le Meridean Hotel.. can really find some gd bargains in there... very nice tees and shorts going at very cheap prices.. but cuz the place to cramp and too many stuff, 3 mins i was out liao...
Went to taka as well.. at the take square, they are holding another taka food fest..all the various stores are doing their setting up..shld be for this wkend ba..ahahaha.. yum yum... anyone wants to go?? my food fest eating buddy not in sg..ahahah
toopid mozzies.. these few nights keep kena bitten by them..of cuz not the dengue ones...ahhaha.. my area still pretty safe...must be all the gd food mummy is feeding me..makes me the target...muahahahahah

NDP @ Marina Bay 2007
earlier this evening, i was watching my first ever NDP rehearsal..mauahahha... call me super 'suan ku'.. i dun care.. my childhood years of NDP are always watched thru the live telecast on the telly...and as i grew older.. its just another annual event which i dun watch anymore..i nv really appreicate NDP for a matter of fact.. all i rem is that a huge group off ppl running around like mad trying to put a show up.. and of cuz not forgetting the expensive fireworks at the end of the parade...
Uncle dar dar was given 2 tickets to today's rehearsal, so he asked me if i want to go.. since i got nothing on, why not.. since i nv watch any live NDP before, plus its at Marina Bay, the new floating platform.. i tot it will be cool to catch it.. plus its was gd seats.. just seating behind the super vips, the ministers...muahahaa.. got a very gd view of the whole performance...
The theme this yr is Celebrate Singapore: City of Possibilities. This theme reflects optimisim and pride as Singaporeans from all walks of life come together to celebrate our nation's 42nd bday. Singapore is today a city of possibilities because Singaporeans are hardworking, innovative and enterprising in creating and seizing opportunities.
Host of the evening were 5 local host: Daniel Ong, Berlinda Lee, Annabelle Francis, + 1 indian dude and + 1 malay babe.. cant rem their names...ehehehe ...
During the 1st hr of pre-parade concert featuring local singers, dancers, musicians and theater actors, I like the first show, which created a underwater feel.. with alot of kids dressed up as schools of fishes, corals, star fishes and some other fishes...so cute to see them running around doing their part to make the whole show run... Next was two of Singapore's very own opera singers.. again i forget their names..ahahah although i suspect it wasnt them singing live.. i appreciate that they actually turn up for the rehearsal... their voices are powerful.. no wonder they sang overseas lar...ahahaha
Then it was followed by the tradition of various representatives of each govt dept to marched in.. fun part is that when they introduced the MP, SM and President into the gallery, of cuz they wont be here to join in the rehearsal lar, it was actually done by some sch kids..ahaha.. quite fun to se them marched in with a tag tat says 'Snr. Minister'...hahaha if the act must act full set right..they even put on their best smile and did their waves...aahahhaa
Oh yeah, of cuz we did the Marina Bay Wave..ahhaha with the whole stadium of spectators standing up and down for the wave...fun!!! i'm one of the first few to do the Marina bay Wave!!! cool~~
I also like it when the red lions did their stuff when they jump out from the heli... so cool... they did it with so little effort...jump.. open parachute.. control and land right in the middle of the stage... this yr the red lions jumped twice.. 2nd time was when the sky was dark..suddenly the spectators were told to look up and the red lions jumped out for the 2nd time.. . cuz it was dark, we couldnt see the heli..so when they jump down was very lovely...all of them very skillful...cool~~
Then it was a display of dynamic defence display of the various skills & 'toys' each division have over the yrs to help better protect our country...there were:
- 40 commandos who hang themselves on the Benjamin Shear's Bridge and propell down into the water...
- a super cool looking heli tat is used in combat as it can carry super heavy load, dropped two divers were off and they were then picked up by the super fast and inflatable speed boat...
- 2 smaller fighter heli (i tink..) did some cool maneuvers in the air... and they even 'salute' happy bday to the nation...:P
- 2 very stylo looking boats that are used in water combat..that can realli go veri veri veri fast and their corner turns are powerful...
- a few other boats that were used by the police coast guards and the navy..
- also show cased some of the vehicles the army, special operation team, civil defence etc used... something
- as usual, our very own fighter pilot planes did their routine...super noisy ar due to the high speed
As the night approaches, a 50-min light, sound, water and pyrotechnic show illuminate the city skyline...very nice.. oh yeah, the sound system was so fantastic tat i can even hear the enpty bullet cases drop onto the platform..tat powerful..
of cuz to end the night... there was a near 5-min fireworks display.... eh kinda average only...ahhaha i rem there was one yr where the fireworks were very beautiful..after tat yr the rest of the fireworks very normal.. but still got tat kind of atmosphere lar..
My ever first NDP... very touched when i see the little kids run around doing their part to make the show successful.. sort of know where part of the tax payers' money went to.. to the latest equipments tat are used to protect us!! in furture if i can watched the live NDP, i will..ehehhee...
Oh yeah, another happy thing is that i finally recieved my bday card from uncle dar dar...ahahaha..after 2 months of waiting..ahaha.... tot it will nv come le..ahahah i love the card!!!! A card might not seem anything..but it means alot to me...=) tks alot!!! love you..muaacks muaacks

Naughty Veins, Lucky Me =)
muhahahaha... went back to get my blood drawn for testing.. when the nurse saw my veins.. the first thing she did was to shake her head and say....'you've got naughty veins..(aka small veins)' hahhaa.. i guess all medical staff hate it when they have to draw blood fr naughty veins cuz chances are they will have to spent some to find the suitable veins, maybe draw fr diff veins.. ahhaa.. abit waste time.. i dun like it as well.. increase pain for me..heheh.. but i guess today is a lucky day for me.. naughty veins were good today. the nurse managed to draw out 5ml of blood at one go under 30 secs.. without having to switch place to get more blood..ahahhaahhahaa and the best thing.. my veins are not swollen after the needle comes out..ahahah.. i can see the blood flow slowly into the stringe..haha... well done naughty veins!!!! looks like the veins grew a little bigger...mayb this yr can donate blood le..finally..ahahahaha

Thursday~~
Oh yeah!! our new tv is here ...finally... the funny thing is tat.. after a few days of watching on the small one.. kinda gotten used to it..now change back to the bigger one not use to it...ahahaha
As usual, today went to KK for volunteering... time passes pretty fast today.. spend the first 50 mins cleaning up the toys.. den rest of it was to playing with 'N'. Super energetic boy... very cheerful and talkative...
Suppose to also go for blood screening for chicken pox.. the hospital wants to make sure that we are vacinated against it so that we will not infect the kids.. just in case.. but i cant do the blood screening cuz the lab only does so on wed & fri..at a certain time.. so i'm going back to KK tml... sian.. hate it when i need to go for blood screening.. not becuz im afraid of the needles.. although sometimes those huge needles are abit scary..ahah..but cuz my veins are too small for the needles...everytime got prob finding them.. the nurses always ask me to work out more so tat the veins can grow.. but i doubt so... for the past 5 yrs i've been trying to grow but cant..hahahahaa.... kinds envy those with pop-up veins.. easy to find.. normal ppl with normal size veins take less then 15 secs to draw 5ml of blood, but i take abt 3 mins.. still need to draw fr 2 diff places... plus the veins will get swollen after the needle exits.... well at least im not the only one tat has this prob.. apparently alot of sporeans have that prob.... forgotten wat was tat called... =)
After just 5 days of not working...staying at home and just chilliing out, do some of my fav stuff..
i cant believe tat im so bored liao...argh~~ muahaha... one of my ex-colleague was commenting i so fast bored liao ar..ahaha
I realise that, if u have a dream job that u want to persue.. it does not necessary mean tat u are cut to do it.. even if u get the job, the pay might not be wat u are asking for, cuz maybe u dun have the relevant exp, wich means tat the $$$ might be lesser... so will you go for ur dream job, earn less make do with wat u earn.. or forget abt ur dream job..$$ is more important.. u need it to pay the bills and stufff...???? well come to tink abt it.. even if u tink u found ur dream job, one day u might find tat its not tat ideal afterall?? its always gd to ave a dream to fall to chase after.... but reality is cruel... life still goes on..no matter u like it anot...

I realise that, if u have a dream job that u want to persue.. it does not necessary mean tat u are cut to do it.. even if u get the job, the pay might not be wat u are asking for, cuz maybe u dun have the relevant exp, wich means tat the $$$ might be lesser... so will you go for ur dream job, earn less make do with wat u earn.. or forget abt ur dream job..$$ is more important.. u need it to pay the bills and stufff...???? well come to tink abt it.. even if u tink u found ur dream job, one day u might find tat its not tat ideal afterall?? its always gd to ave a dream to fall to chase after.... but reality is cruel... life still goes on..no matter u like it anot...

yeah yeah yeah ~~~
Muahaha... im officially jobless..ahaha.. finish serving my notice with my coy.. now only left need to go back and do handover.. hopefully dey can aso do shui shui and give me my last pay check on time...
Finally, i dun have to worry about not hitting my sales target.. =) I'll miss the stcians whom i've shared some pretty fun times at work.. of cuz, i will miss my members.. i did not let them know, let them find out themselves ba... so gam with so many of them, cant possibly tell all of them... some knew abt it already... they wished me all the best..hahaha well thank god for the technology now, we can still keep in touch via sms or msn..ahahah
I have seen ppl come and go over the past 3 yrs in the coy...some just report work for 1 day and never trun up again.. some worked for a while and den left.. each of us left for various reason.. but i guess most of us have a common catalyst that helped us stand firm on our decision to leave...
Each individual behaves very differently while they were serving the notice... as for me, no doubt im in 'ord' mood, i still do my part, everything do shui shui... no sub standard service..
but some ppl behaved realli fcuked up.. they do things neither here or there.. give a very heck care & 'i'm leaving anyway' attitute.. i dun understand why.. but at least i'm glad tat i'm not one of them...
A new begining awaits me....~~ so excited....
After close to 7 yrs of watching my various fav tv programs on our 29" inch mitsubitshi tv.. and after countless of repair due to short circuit and old age of the tv.. it finallly broke down again... oh did i mention that the tv actually belonged to my neighbour who lives two doors away from me.. they bought a new tv 7 yrs ago cuz the old one started giving them prob, but instead of selling it to the garang guni, my parents asked them to give it to us.. we did a little repair and vola~ it worked like a new one..mauahahaa... but seriously, we realli repaired it too many times liao.. so when it broke down again this time, we decide to get a brand new one.. we settle for a 29" ince LG flat screen tv... reasonable pricing.. good resolution.. design wise quite stylist.. easy to maintain.. it will be delivered to us coming thurs... meanwhile, we have to amke do with the small tv inside our bedroom..ahahha....
